Period spirit, independent identity.
Inspired by the era, without claiming rally-team affiliation, original competition history or manufacturer endorsement.
01 / BACK TO THE GOLDEN AGE OF RALLY
Remember the cars that made you love rallying? Reimagined as carefully built, road-focused machines you can enjoy on the way to work, over a mountain pass or on a weekend away.
02 / THE IDEA
The magic of a rally car.
None of the need to trailer it.
Not works rally cars. Not falsely badged historical machines. Our proposed builds take the atmosphere of the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s and apply it to genuine, correctly identified road-going donor cars.
Think purposeful stance, distinctive colours, crisp handling, carefully judged brakes and a soundtrack that still belongs on a public road. Every choice follows the actual donor, its condition and the way its owner will use it.
Inspired by the era, without claiming rally-team affiliation, original competition history or manufacturer endorsement.
All three directions are designed around ongoing road usability, suitable equipment and vehicle-specific compliance checks.
An individual record of the car, agreed work, components, checks, photographs and owner handover.
03 / THREE BUILD DIRECTIONS
One approach; three levels of transformation. From a period-inspired road car to a fast-road build, then additional engineering for occasional non-competitive track days. All start with a suitable road car.
The remembered rally-car attitude, created on a reliable and enjoyable road-car foundation.
No assumed power increase or major body fabrication; existing defects and major restoration are assessed separately.
All the visual personality, developed around a more rewarding, confidence-inspiring drive.
No automatic turbo upgrade, gearbox conversion, limited-slip differential or claimed power figure. Specification depends on the individual platform.
An everyday-eligible car with additional durability and preparation for selected track-day use.
Not a competition rally car. Event eligibility, noise rules and insurance require individual checks. Cages, harnesses and airbag changes are not standard.
The shared standard: appropriate roadworthiness and documentation throughout. Donor purchase, unexpected structural corrosion, major drivetrain repair, repainting and bespoke fabrication are separate from package allowances unless expressly agreed. No fixed public prices are promised during development.
04 / THE POSSIBLE DONORS
Some donors make commercially sensible first builds. Others are increasingly valuable classics and only make sense as considered, customer-led commissions. Select a model to explore the proposed direction.
A strong late-1990s/early-2000s visual reference with genuinely affordable 2.0 GTi donor examples. The proposed work would pursue period rally aesthetics and agile road handling, not pretend the front-wheel-drive hatch is an all-wheel-drive competition 206.
Historic rally and competition cars shown as visual inspiration, not completed conversions by our workshop. Customer cars are road-focused, individually specified and will not replicate works-rally engineering or imply manufacturer or team endorsement.
05 / TWO WAYS TO START
If you already own the right car, we can assess its suitability and agree the transformation around what you know and love. Keeping an existing donor can simplify the project, provided its condition justifies the work.
Explore a customer-supplied donor ↗Selective donor sourcing is a proposed option. We would favour documented history and sound structure over an attractive paint finish. Inspection and sourcing would be separately agreed; a donor is never assumed to be sound because it has an MOT.
Build a sourcing brief ↗06 / FROM MEMORY TO MACHINE
No mystery parts, surprise specification changes or undisclosed extra costs. Proposed customer commissions follow a documented process from donor inspection to final handover.
The model, colours, intended road use and desired character. Agree the original competition references without misrepresenting provenance.
Vehicle identity, corrosion, accident evidence, servicing and mechanical condition. Separate core conversion work from remedial needs.
Agree parts, suppliers, costs, schedule and changes; record progress. Outsource specialist body and safety-critical work where appropriate.
Road-suitability checks, configuration, recorded testing and a usable owner’s record. Owner insurance and any required notification are addressed.
07 / THE OWNERSHIP RECORD
The story matters. So does the workmanship beneath it.
Every proposed build would have its own record: where it started, what was found, what was changed, what was measured, and what was checked before handover. We want owners to know exactly what they have — and what they do not.

08 / GOOD QUESTIONS
Great projects begin with sensible expectations.
No. They are rally-inspired road cars built from accurately described road-going donors. No ex-works history, FIA specification, competition eligibility or manufacturer/team endorsement is implied. Even when the body looks period-correct, the road car's drivetrain and construction remain clearly identified.
Road usability is fundamental in Visual Road, Fast Road and Road + Track. Every proposed modification is assessed for suitability and the legal requirements applying to that specific vehicle, including identity, lighting, emissions, noise, tyres, occupant safety and insurance. MOT alone is not a guarantee that a modified vehicle is legal and safe; we will document the applicable checks and any required DVLA notification before handover.
We can explore period-inspired colours and graphics. Exact team designs, trademarks, numbers, sponsor logos and intellectual property cannot be promised without reviewing ownership and permissions. We won't represent an independent build as an officially sanctioned car.
These are not standard additions. Competition cages and harnesses can conflict with road-car occupant safety systems. Auxiliary lamps require careful legal and electrical assessment; external parts must be securely mounted and suitable for road use. A visually appropriate design does not automatically make a part a good engineering decision.
We inspect first, document significant findings and obtain agreement before changing the budget or work scope. Hidden or structural corrosion, extensive paintwork, welding and major drivetrain rebuilds are not silently included in a tier. Suitable specialists would need to handle structural repair; an unsuitable donor may be declined.
Build prices depend on the inspected donor and model-specific specification. We are developing a priced demonstrator and repeatable cost schedule before publishing fixed package figures. Donor sourcing, major repairs and unusually bespoke bodywork are separate from the conversion cost unless quoted.
No. This is a pre-launch design preview of a proposed business. The workshop, actual launch date, demonstrator and available customer slots have not yet been confirmed. The planner below creates a local summary; it does not send a message, take a deposit or create a booking.
