COMPONENT BLASTING & POWDER COATING

PREPARE.
COAT.
REASSEMBLE.

A dedicated programme for suitable removed automotive components: careful assessment, abrasive blast cleaning and a choice of conventional paint or powder-coated finishing.

A SEPARATE WORKFLOW

Start with
the component.

Component blasting and finishing has its own requirements. Material, thickness, existing coatings, precision surfaces and the intended result all need to be considered before a part is accepted.

That is why this sits separately from dry-ice vehicle cleaning: the process, media and finish are chosen for a removed component rather than applied across a vehicle.

WHERE WE DRAW THE LINE

Suitable components only. We are not proposing whole-shell or chassis blasting, welding, structural repair, plating, ceramic coating or specialist high-temperature coatings.

THE COMPONENT PROGRAMME

Three clear
stages.

Each part is assessed first. The service is structured around the condition of the component and the finish it needs—not a one-size-fits-all process.

01 / BLAST CLEAN

Reveal the substrate.

Abrasive blast cleaning for suitable removed metal parts, with media and pressure selected around the material, thickness and intended finish.

02 / PAINT

Conventional finish.

For appropriate cleaned components, an agreed primer and standard paint system can provide a presentable and useful finish.

03 / POWDER COAT

Durable coverage.

Powder coating for suitable metal components, with masking, colour, sheen and heat suitability agreed before the work begins.

HOW WE WILL WORK

Assess first.
Then finish.

A responsible result depends on deciding whether the part, its condition and the requested finish are appropriate for the process.

01 / REVIEW

Check suitability.

Review material, thickness, existing finish, sensitive areas, threads, bearing seats and any surfaces that must be protected.

02 / AGREE

Set the process.

Agree media, masking, cleaning standard, colour and finish before the component moves into preparation.

03 / PREPARE

Clean with control.

Blast-clean suitable surfaces, remove residual media and prepare the accepted part for the selected finish.

04 / HAND OVER

Record the result.

Confirm what was completed, the agreed finish and any practical handling or curing guidance for collection or return.

CONDITION AND LIMITS

Know what
not to blast.

ACCEPTANCE

Suitability is not assumed. Delicate, thin, precision-machined or safety-critical parts may be declined or need a different specialist process.

MASKING

Critical surfaces remain protected. Threads, sealing faces, bearing seats and areas requiring dimensional tolerance need clear instructions and appropriate protection.

FINISH

The finish follows the part. Conventional paint and powder coating are selected only where the material, intended use and required curing process make sense.

START A CONVERSATION

Have a part
in mind?

Tell us about the component and the finish you are considering. A clear starting brief helps us understand whether blast cleaning, paint or powder coating may be the right route.

THE NEXT STEP

A better

This is a planned Touring Works launch capability. Accepted materials, blast media, equipment, parcel arrangements and final coating systems will be confirmed before public trading begins.
