ABOUT TOURING WORKS
Touring Works is a founder-led automotive project shaped by the cars we have owned, worked on and wanted to make better—not a concept built from the sidelines.
THE FOUNDERS
Three automotive-engineering graduates turning a shared interest in cars into a more serious, practical programme of work.
CO-FOUNDER / ENGINEER
Max has been into cars since childhood. That interest became practical through an automotive engineering degree and work as a mechanic during university holidays. He now works as an engineer.
He has owned several MX-5s, worked on his own cars and takes his current MX-5 on track. Touring Works is the route to take that hands-on experience further: approaching car modification more seriously, with clear ideas, care for the base car and an understanding of how it will actually be used.
CO-FOUNDER / CAD & DESIGN
Ethan has also been interested in cars from a young age. Like Max and Henry, he studied automotive engineering at university, where all three met and the shared interest that now underpins Touring Works took shape.
He owns and works on his own MX-5, and brings current CAD experience into the project. His role in Touring Works will help turn the team’s ideas into clear, considered designs as the modification work develops.
CO-FOUNDER / ENGINEER
Henry has been into cars since childhood. He studied automotive engineering at university with Max and Ethan, where the three founders met. He now works as an engineer and brings a broad ownership perspective built through years with BMWs, Volvos and MGs.
He is currently building an MGB with a 240Z engine—exactly the kind of hands-on, individual project that reflects the spirit behind Touring Works.
WHY THIS WORK
The ambition is not to make claims ahead of the work. It is to build knowledge, capability and worthwhile cars in the right order.
The starting point is practical experience: maintaining, improving and understanding the cars that have been driven and lived with.
Whether the focus is cleaning, preparation, restoration or track use, the work should suit the car and the way its owner intends to use it.
Touring Works is deliberately phased: develop the first services and builds properly, then extend the programme when the foundation is there.
